I did my first official audition in Port Elizabeth in front of Elsubie and Elouise. Whilst Elsubie was conveying a
workshop, I was making jokes with my friends in the crowd - this is when she called me out in front of everyone. I thought she was going to ask me to leave, but instead she asked me to come up to stage. She used me as an
example and started speaking about how I was going to do great things telling everyone how marketable I was. She just gave me so many compliments and valuable advice. From this day forth I told myself that I would live up to her
expectations. From that day forth, I started taking my career seriously and worked hard daily on pursuing my dream. I went to Krugersdorp to perform at Silverstar Casino, before I went up to dance, Blaze Johnson gave me a word of advice saying, "Dance like you dance when no one is watching".

My song started playing, but it didn't start where it was supposed to, so I had to freestyle and I just danced like no one was watching. The crowd loved me and everyone was cheering for me, even the Artists watching me perform backstage. I met many talented Artists at the IATS showcase which I still speak to.

The journey I have walked with the International Showcase has changed me as a person for the good. I have
become more goal driven and I put everything in to  pursue my dreams.

I got a callback to attend the International Convention in Orlando, Florida to showcase my talent in Modeling,
Acting and Dancing. This is where I set the stage on fire with my moves and got six callbacks from Agencies
and Colleges.

I received a $10 000 scholarship from the New York Film Academy based on my talent. I was very happy with my awards but still not satisfied. I told myself that I would soon go back to New York City to pursue my dream.
Catherine Schuller, Casting Agent, whom saw me perform at the International Convention, invited me to dance in the opening production at New York Fashion Week in September 2019. I couldn't believe it and did not know how to react to the opportunity.

I flew back and once again set the stage on fire! I met multiple Models and Designers who want to work with me in the future. I believe that this is still only the beginning and I have still a long way to go with
33 and Me and many more gigs to book.  My career has just kicked off and I have BIG THINGS PLANNED!!!

I’ve walked New York Fashion Week for Victor De Souza, auditioned for Kanye West Season 4 and I’ve had the honour to work with Lindsay Adler. I am truly grateful to God, My parents, Kim Myers and my second mother Elsubie Verlinden for believing, motivating me, thank you for encouraging me to never, ever give up on my dreams.

Ivan Langeveldt

Two years ago, I was a 12-year-old boy with big dreams on The International ARTS Talent Showcase stage. At the time, that is all that it was…dreams.

For me, it all started in 2018 when I entered “The Face of Just You”. It was a competition that was based on Talent, public votes, your personal brand and also how you presented yourself. I received the Public Choice Award and received a Scholarship to The New York Film Academy for a
4-week, Teen Acting for Film Educational Programme.

I also participated in the 2018 International ARTS Talent Showcase and received a call-back to showcase my talents in America.

I prepared for months and received training from the best Industry professionals and with the guidance, love, support and education I received from Elsubie Verlinden and 33 and Me Model & Artist Management, I was ready to take on America and show them who I am.

In America I received 2 call-backs and also received a meeting request with Chad Broskey from Discover Management which is based in New York and Los Angeles.

The highlight of my entire trip was to receive my Diploma for Acting for Film at New York Film Academy.

This is something that no one can ever take away from me. I now have International Education, 3 Short Films and Multiple Film scenes to add to my resume with huge opportunities that awaits me in my near future.

None of this would be possible without Elsubie! She believed in me since the first time we met. She understood my Goals and Dreams. She Encouraged me, Taught me, Inspired me and Pushed me to be the best version of myself.

Thank you Elsubie, My dreams will soon be reality!

Thank you 33 and Me Model and Artist Management for all your support and for always being there for me.

I am now a 14-year-old teenager who had dreams two years ago, but those dreams are not just dreams anymore… I am now living my dreams.

Carmia Beetge

My journey with @33_and_me began in 2015 when I was scouted at the Mr and Ms Jacaranda Pageant.  Upon joining the Agency, I started training in Dancing and Acting for Film at the Academy and in October 2015, I was selected at the International ARTS Talent Showcase at Silverstar Casino to attend the International Convention in Orlando, Florida in 2016.  This was a phenomenal step towards showcasing my talent and on my return to South Africa, I booked 8 TV Commercials, attended 2 castings for International film and was also chosen as a Model for the UberGlam Fashion Show in 2016.  My TV Commercials include adverts for Rand Merchant Bank, Standard Bank, Edgars, Cadbury, Halls, Dorito’s, Outsurance and Jacaranda Radio.

In 2016 I was in the Short Film, Transito, which was produced by Waterkloof Hoërskool and nominated in 3 categories at the Kleinkaap Short Film Festival.  Main characters were played by Heiki Bergh (Egoli), Arno Greeff (Die Pro) and Albert Maritz (Invictus).  The film was Directed by Andre Velts.  This was a very successful Short Film dealing with the very real threat of human trafficking.

The training I received as a Model positioned me to continue shooting with photographers, building my Modeling resume. In 2018 I was selected to Model in the SVEDA Fashion Show.  (Spero Villioti Design Academy – Future Designers).

I love what I do and dream of making my big break in the Industry.  I am a Performer at heart and even though it is hard work and learning to accept rejection, I know I have what it takes to make it!

Sonwabile Gingqishe

My name is Sonwabile Gingqishe, I’m 23 years of age, born and bred in the Eastern Cape. I’ve been
a Performing Artist since 2005 with so many accolades including, being the Top Overall Actor and Poet in the Eastern Cape on two occasions (MTN FOUNDATION SCHOOL AWARDS).  In 2017, I was working as a petrol attendant at Total Garage in Fort Beaufort when I saw an Advert for auditions on Facebook about The International ARTS Talent Showcase. I then decided to take a chance and use that opportunity to audition, where I did very well. I then got a call back from Elsubie and Elouise to go to Johannesburg to represent the Eastern Cape on the National Stage. On the National Stage I got an invitation to go to Orlando, Florida to represent the South African Team at the International Convention where I received callbacks from Tyler Perry Studios and New York Film Academy. I also obtained a long term International Partial Scholarship to study at New York Film Academy.

When I returned from the United States of America, I booked 2 National TV Commercials (Samsung and MTN) and an International World-Wide TV Commercial (NIKE) with Caster Semenya, all 3 were booked in one week. After a successful Convention in the USA, I got hired by my Director Elsubie Verlinden to work as a Talent Scout and a full time Artist at 33 and Me Model and Artist Management.

After those successful TV Commercial shoots, I then went back home to Eastern Cape to finish my Annual Events for schools and local Artists and Models. Elsubie flew down to East London to change other people’s lives, by scouting and presenting a Brand and Industry related workshop to schools in Fort Beaufort. One of the Models she scouted has already shot many TV Commercials and has been to Fashion Shows.

I then relocated to Johannesburg to work and to pursue my dreams as an Artist.

In my first three weeks in Johannesburg, I booked UberGlam Fashion Show, DSTV -National TV Commercial and Global Citizen 100 Years Mandela Celebration promo video. I was on set with Minnie Dlamini, Nombitha Ben-Mazwi as a feature and other local celebrities. Thereafter, I was a feature in MAQ and booked GoTV - Continental TV Commercial, KFC, Shell Helix, Edgars, Steers, FNB, Spar, Opera Mini, Jet, Handy Andy, Standard Bank and Nando’s.

I was recently on set for “THE QUEEN”, which is the biggest Soapie in South Africa.

Amaron Borchards

Passion and Determination led me on my Journey to the International Convention in Orlando, Florida. My Journey with The International ARTS Talent Showcase started in June 2018 in Port Elizabeth, where I auditioned and received my invitation to the Showcase at Silverstar Casino. During this time I decided to involve myself more in the Industry and started Recording, Writing and Producing a new EP (extended playlist) with a band (Afrotronixx) whom I met in Port Elizabeth. I was also preparing for the Johannesburg auditions which took place in front of Tyler Perry Studios' Independent Casting Director, Rhavynn Drummer, Nate Bulter- A & R for America’s Got Talent and Blaze Johnson form “The Voice - America”. I was then invited to represent South Africa at The International Convention in Orlando, Florida.  After receiving a call-back I had managed to get myself featured in a local newspaper and I released my EP, titled “New Glow” along with its music video. On the 1st of December 2018 I was asked to perform at The Sybil Live Show in Port Elizabeth, where I performed an opening Act for International Legends, Judy Boucher and Sybil.

In January, I attended the International Bootcamp where I gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience. At Bootcamp, we were given information and insight as to what the Industry required, and was expected of us as Artists in the Industry. We even had the greatest pleasure of sitting in Media training classes held by The Expresso Show’s TV Presenter, Tsholo Phiri. In those sessions we learned so much about the different types of Media and how to get into Media in order to build and empower our Individual Brands. After bootcamp, I implemented my knowledge gained and applied this to my career and daily life. I was even more determined at this point and got into contact with a couple of Media Houses where I managed to land a couple of Radio and Newspaper Interviews, ranging all the way from the Western to the Eastern Cape.

Throughout this time I gained experience and performance confidence by hosting my own Shows with the help of my family and friends. All the Shows were a wonderful success and it was preparing me for my performances in America. At the International Convention, I managed to make top 40 in Singing and Dancing. At the Awards Ceremony on the last day of the Convention, I was awarded Overall Performer 2019, I remember being so incredibly grateful.

I have gained some useful advice through this experience and continue to use the knowledge that was granted to me. I am currently working on a new Creative Project.  For more information on that, you can follow me @bubblegumtown on Instagram.

Buhle Mohlongo

When Buhle joined the agency , I never imagined the world of possibilities that could come her way - from booking 3 TV commercials, film plus call back to perform in Orlando Florida in the USA.

As an active and involved mom, that made me realized that I made the best decision for my daughter. It’s amazing how I’ve seen her grow throughout this journey. Her confidence levels are sky high. She learned a lot of discipline through the bootcamp and she applied that in the Florida - I must say watching her perform in front of the international judges like Sony Music and Tyler Perry Studios was the greatest experience that we will both treasure for the rest of our lives, again being recognized by the New York Film Academy goes to show that dreams do come true. What an amazing experience ... Thank you for making my daughters dreams a reality. Keep up the great work, it doesn’t go unnoticed. I pray that God continue to bless you and to also give you more strength, patience and humbleness that you’ve displayed throughout the years .... To more successful years together as a family ! - Xoliswa Mohlongo

Selene Chiang

Working to become a resourceful Actress and Model, I started in the Agency by doing weekly training in Acting, Modeling and Dancing. I booked as an artist in a KFC TV Commercial, Global Citizen Project and walked in the UberGlam Fashion Show. I auditioned for The International ARTS Talent Showcase and received the Overall Top Actor Award. I received my exclusive callback to attend the Showcase at the Silverstar Casino where I was awarded a invitation to a life changing event in Orlando, Florida. In preparation for the Convention I increased my skillsets and knowledge in the Industry by attending workshops hosted by New York Film Academy, doing online training courses, seminars and training in extra murals like Linguistics, Fencing and Archery. At the Convention, I performed in 11 categories of Dancing, Modeling, Acting and Singing, where I received 12
call backs with an International Representation opportunity in Asia, working as an Artist and Model.
I just returned from New York where I walked for numerous International Designers at the New York Fashion Week 2019. The best part about my journey through this Convention is that all this, is just the beginning.

Siya Mphontshane

I auditioned for Elouise at Kearsney College in 2017 on a cold and rainy day with my nerves playing tricks on me, but excited about what was to come. I auditioned for Dancing, Modeling and Singing. Much to my surprise, I received a callback to attend The International ARTS Talent Showcase later that year in Johannesburg at the Silverstar Casino. This is where the serious choice was to be made, do I really want to pursue my dream and make it a reality? This would require a lot more commitment to my craft.  I decided to pursue my dream and attend the Showcase at Silverstar Casino. I met Elsubie - Director of ARTS Africa - unbeknown to me, Elsubie would later become a second Mom to me showing so much love and support! She truly wants the best for you.  After performing at the Showcase, I waited for the callbacks and my phone to ring. I got my call.

After all the preparation, I was set to embark on this International Journey that would change my life forever.  It truly hit me that I was about to perform for top scouts from all various Companies and Brands when I stepped onto that International stage in Orlando, Florida. That’s when you truly realize that all the sacrifice and work was worth it. The Convention was a memorable experience that will never fade!

At my callback session with International Industry Professionals, I met a Casting Director who informed me that she would like me to attend the New York Fashion Week in September 2019. I not only walked for the designer Dominon at New York Fashion Week, but also performed the opening piece for the show with my fellow South African friends.  I have enjoyed this Journey walking the runway at the New York Fashion Showcase taking my Modeling International.  I was in the opening production as well.  This year is truly a blessing and my Journey to making my dreams a reality has only begun!

Byron Gindra

My dream always seemed unbelievable to people, what I wanted and had always dreamed of, couldn’t be done, so I was told. I needed to be ‘realistic’, they said. “There are too many people who want the same as you Byron,” they would say. But, at 16 years old, I auditioned for The International ARTS Talent Showcase, received a callback which took me to The International ARTS Talent Showcase at the Silverstar Casino where I performed as well as received a callback to attend the International Talent Convention in Orlando, Florida, to showcase my talent on an International Stage for the first time. At the convention In August 2017, I received callbacks from Industry Professionals and placed 2nd in the Singing category. While I was at the Convention, I was also scouted to audition for American Idols where I made it through to the Final Auditions, 1st Television Broadcast in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.

From this point on, things only started to get bigger for me. One of the callbacks I received was from Watersound Entertainment and through working with them, I was able to get in contact with an incredible Producer and Songwriter who assisted me with creating my latest single, “The One” which is available on all music platforms, as well as two other tracks I recorded in New York in 2018. These will be released later in 2019. Watersound also got me in contact with a great A&R Company who handles my publicity for which I am extremely grateful.

Watersound has played a huge role in making my dreams possible and preparing me as an International Artist.

It is also important to know, the International Convention is not just about the placing or how many callbacks you receive, it is about the massive opportunity to network and the endless information given to you at workshops held by Industry Professionals. This International platform is a chance to become more knowledgeable and wiser when it comes to your craft and know what you want as an Artist. I went to Orlando extremely focused and more ready than ever, it was an amazing experience.

My dream is to travel all over the world, performing my songs and writing more albums, eventually being signed by labels such as Continental, Universal, Atlantic and Interscope. I want to be remembered as a kid from South Africa who had one dream and has turned that dream to a reality, when so many people told me it couldn’t be done, I did it and I’m going to do so much more.

I aspire to inspire Artists to realise that they can achieve what feels impossible and that mind set is everything, this is one of the reasons I’m so close to reaching my ultimate goal. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the guidance and love from Elsubie, Elouise and The International ARTS Talent Showcase Team!

“Born to do, what can’t be done.”

Diana de Sousa

My name is Diana de Sousa, I am 24 years of age and from a small town called eMalahleni. I have always had a passion for Singing and have been pursuing it and working at my craft since the age of 2. Singing on an International Stage has always been a lifelong dream of mine and thanks to The International ARTS Talent Showcase and 33 and Me I can say I have finally achieved it.

I can still remember the very first day I auditioned for Elouise, who scouted me for The International ARTS Talent Showcase. That audition alone exposed me to different ways of being part of the Industry, such as getting more involved in Acting and Modeling (which was a totally new thing for me as I was mainly focused on singing!). It allowed me to dig deep within myself to find out who the real Diana is and to understand different ways I could express myself in the arts. This entire journey was so rewarding, it was a lot of hard work and determination, but oh what a journey it has been! Because of that I am a completely different person to the person I was a year ago.

The International ARTS Talent has allowed me to perform in-front of people I had dreamed of meeting, such as Nate Butler, Blaze Johnson, Rhayvnn Dummer and the New York Film Academy, whom are all strong individuals in the Industry that I wish to be a part of. 33 and Me also provided me with various workshops with great insight into establishing your Brand, Social Media, Music Industry, as well as TV and Film! When I performed in Orlando this year and got a callback from Watersound Entertainment my heart truly skipped a beat! The most important thing I learned throughout this whole Journey was to believe in myself and to know that International isn’t Impossible as Elsubie, says haha! The word Impossible itself spells out “I’M POSSIBLE”!

After The International ARTS Talent Showcase I went on to be part of various Commercials which are being aired at this moment, namely, Steers. Other commercials I have been involved in are Vodacom, Telkom, Ford, Outsurance, and Edgars. I also had the amazing opportunity to be a Detective in a Movie for Netflix. My confidence improved so much that I booked even more gigs for Singing! Thanks to 33 and Me and The International ARTS Talent Showcase, I have also managed to secure various lifetime Brand deals and Sponsorships. I also had the amazing opportunity to be interviewed on Eldos Fm, GauTV, Expresso and East Wave Radio, and a half spread in a Portuguese National Newspaper called “Voz Portuguesa”, became the face of Zap, a Portuguese version of DSTV for South Africa, Angola and Portugal. After coming back from America I released my first single “Amor Proibido” and I am working on more surprises that I will continue to release throughout the year!

This spectacular Journey has allowed me to make friends that understand the passion I have for the arts and who never fail to show their support in everything, these are friends I now call Family! I will forever cherish the way the South African Team made me feel whenever I got onto the stage in Orlando! The support towards each other was something amazing and I was blessed to experience and be part of this! Apart from all the amazing friends I made, my amazing mentors Elsubie, Elouise and Sam are people I will forever be grateful to!! They were not only a part of my life but they were people I could turn to, who have my best interest at heart and who support me towards reaching my dreams. They have all taught me such valuable lessons such as, that no matter your upbringing or your past struggles, it does not define your future. You should grasp every opportunity that comes your way in helping make your dreams come true and always remain humble.

As a good friend of mine (Thapelo) once said “The Dream starts within and by surrounding yourself with the right people who want the best for you, is the perfect combination”! Which is what both The International ARTS Talent Showcase and 33 and Me made me feel! I will forever be grateful for what my 33 and Me family as well as my International ARTS Talent Showcase family has taught me and the memories we now share!
